TOUR ITINERARY:
08:00 AM:
Start the morning trip with a visit to the Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace. It is a famous historical landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by architect Ngo Viet Thu.
Continue to visit beautiful French colonial structures such as Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office.
Next, visit the War Remnants Museum, which features extensive exhibits related to the Indochina wars and provides visitors with a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s wartime history.
12:00 PM:
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
01:00 PM:
Depart for Cu Chi Tunnels. The trip takes approximately 1.5 hours by bus.
Upon arrival, watch a short introductory video explaining how the tunnels were constructed and how people survived during the harsh conditions of wartime.
Then explore the tunnel system, including specially constructed living areas with kitchens and bedrooms, along with military facilities such as storage rooms, weapon factories, field hospitals, and command centers. You will also see hidden trapdoors and dangerous traps used during the war.
After the exploration, enjoy special tea and cassava, the traditional food of guerrilla fighters during the war.
Visitors can also relax or try firing real guns such as AK47 or machine guns at the nearby shooting range (optional, extra fee).
05:30 PM – 06:00 PM:
Return to Ho Chi Minh City.
07:30 PM:
Arrive in Saigon. End of the tour.
